Notes

From September 9th until the end of September 2025, Swissgrid will carry out important maintenance work. During this period, a section of the path near the mountain station will be closed and detoured. The detour is marked by appropriate signs.

Currently, there may be capacity limitations during the descent, which can lead to longer waiting times. Please check the current departure times at the top station. If needed, a cable car staff member will assign you a ticket with a possible descent time starting from 3:00 p.m. Unfortunately, advance reservations are not possible.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

The cable car operates daily without interruption between 08:30 and 17:00. Travel time: approx. 11 minutes

In case of strong winds or adverse weather conditions, cable car service will be suspended. For up-to-date information, please call: +41 58 477 85 75

We regularly receive requests regarding reservations and the transport of bicycles. Since the Sanetsch cable car is primarily an industrial cable car operated by the Sanetsch power plant, mostly run by the plant personnel, we keep administrative efforts to a minimum. For this reason, we do not accept reservations. The principle is: "First come, first served." Up to 4 bicycles can be transported outside the cabin per trip. Additional bicycles and e-bikes are carried inside the cabin—however, passengers without bicycles have priority
